I n' Crocs or Crocs n' I
One of my family members recently "broke down" and purchased crocs. I preceded him by about a month in doing similarly but I think our reasons for doing so were indeed quite different! His seemed to be for style, while mine was for comfort! I have absolutely terrible feet! Both big toe joints, according to a foot surgeon I consulted are "gone." What does that mean? It means they don't bend without at times giving me a great deal of pain. Consequently, finding a pair of shoes I can walk in comfortably is a continual challenge and even in "good" shoes many is the time when I start out on my walk of a morning that I pray, "Lord, please just help me be able to walk.!"
I had heard frequently that crocs were very, very comfortable, but I was skeptical. Finally, after hearing a recent testimonial again about their comfort, I went into a local shoe store and found their brand, albeit made in "C," for $10 cheaper than those genuine crocs purchased by ____. Since the shoe store was a good one and the label on these seemed good, I decided to make the leap. And I have rejoiced over and over that I did! They are absolutely wonderfully kind to my poor 'ole feet! They look ugly--fat and gommon and clumsy, but they feel sooo good.
And if you wonder if your feet will sweat in the plastic, the answer is yes! But just take the shoes off, run them under the faucet, scrub them with an old toothbrush and soap, dry them off and you're good to go. Oh, you might want to wash your sweaty feet, too!
So Crocs and I are great friends now and if you think I'm trying to look trendy, I'm not! I'm trying to get across the floor without wincing!
