So Why Hesper48?

Some of you may know and some may not that "Hesper" is my middle name! Yes indeed it's an odd one but here's its history. It originated with my father who was an avid astronomer. He knew the constellations, the planets, etc. etc. and for some reason when I was born he wanted to give me the middle name of "Venus!" My mother put her foot down and said no, so they compromised by using Hesper, which is another name for Venus. All my life I've had the joy of bearing a strange middle name and explaining numerous times its origin to curious questioners. I don't really mind--especially since I would not want to be called Venus! 48 is the year of my birth. Hence, Hesper 48. And now you know. . .something you might not have known!
