Humorous NC Tidbit

On our way home from Florida, then Georgia, we made a short stop on Monday to visit Levere and Marguerite Plummer. Levere is brother to the NH Paul Plummer and Marguerite is sister to the NH Pauline Plummer. Both have had various physical challenges, but we found them in good spirits and Mr. in his usual dry humor frame of mind. After a short but sweet visit and parting prayers, we made our way out to the rental van and began to climb in.

I could see Mr. as he began to pace around our rental van, eyeing its 2007 newness and shinyness. . . and I could just about picture what was percolating in his brain, so I quickly assured him that this van was not ours but a rental. I hurried on to explain that our van was 12 years old with 212,000 miles on it and pronounced unfit to make a long trip by King Paul. "Sounds about right for a Kingdom car," he muttered under his breath, breaking out into a cackle!!

I found that pretty amusing, even though I'm not sure his observation would stand unchallenged 100% of the time!

God is good and always provides whether we happen to drive a relic or a limo!
