I'm Alive!
I'm sure you already knew that because deaths seem to have a way of making it to the grapevine pretty quickly so you'd know if I died. Actually, I've felt like death a lot of the time lately and since that doesn't make for very interesting blog posts, it's better to remain quiet. Right? Right! I posted once a couple of weeks ago and it was so bad that I quickly deleted it--hopefully before hardly anybody had a chance to read it.
Here are a few tidbits from the past few weeks, which brought a smile to my lips or a bit of joy to my heart:
>Watching a dog in an SUV in a parking lot barking frantically and with each bark, blowing the horn as it pounced on the steering wheel!
>A trip to Providence for a regional Stampin Up convention and an evening spent with my friend Jeannette.
>Some much needed new clothes from my present "favorite" clothes store, Christopher & Banks
>Watching Chad and Lindsay act in "Fiddler on the Roof"
>Excellent close up to the best Bible study I've ever done--"Daniel" by Beth Moore
> News that WalMart has reconsidered its decision to fund "questionable" groups. I will admit that I had not felt convicted about shopping there anyway, but I don't like offending people who feel differently.
>Thanksgiving at Bill and Cherilyn's for the first time ever--a delightful experience. When sent to her room for misbehaving, Alicia put on her tape of Craig singing children's songs and informed me that I could listen to his voice so I wouldn't miss him being with us. . .Sniff
>Early morning walks. Since October 4th, I've been walking 1-2 miles 6 days a week, rain or shine. I've so enjoyed the early morning freshness, sunrises, ripples or reflections on the reservoir, wildlife, the same black jeep which passes me every morning, etc. etc. I will admit that I skipped Thanksgiving morning and this morning when I wanted to head in to do some early morning shopping to beat the crowds and get a few "doorbuster" specials!
And that's enough for now.

I love morning walks! I found a Christian homeschool mom in the neighborhood - we do 2 miles every weekday.
