Florida, Yea!

Yes, we are actually here, basking in the warm sunshine of Cocoa Beach and staying at my brother's condo. We finally left home at around 4 o'clock on Thursday afternoon and headed south--Neil and I, Craig, Clyde and Kayla. We did the "all night" thing in order to not leave the Feast before the end of the last mtng, and yet not lose one precious day of spring break!

Since we had to rent a car (our old van was not reliable enough to make the trip), Clyde was barred from driving so 3 of us shared the job and it wasn't half bad--esp. since Neil did the first 8 1/2 hours and got us down to Fredericksburg, south of all the cities, tolls and traffic. After that we each took about 2 hours at a stretch and here we are!

On Monday we'll go over to the west coast and take in a Red Sox spring training game and then stay with Jeff and Fritha for a few days before heading up to GA next weekend. This is the first trip away since my Mom has been in heaven, and I'm finding that I have a whole new freedom in being able to relax and not worry about things back home. It's such a relief!
