This and That Again
It's nice to have a moment to sit down and write a little bit! Several things I'm thankful for:
>A new stove!! After being without an oven for about a month (and yes that included Thanksgiving!) I am most grateful for a beautiful stove whose oven bakes!
>Christmas lights inside and outside and all over the countryside! Kayla and I decorated our tree last night and I sat beside it later, just basking in it's lit beauty and eating ice cream!
>Shopping with Kayla at the mall and cell phones so we could keep track of each other from one end to the other. Okay, so it was me who did the keeping track of. She never called me once!
>Enjoying a blizzard together when we finished our shopping
>The first snow. It is sooo beautiful and our house is sooooo warm and besides, this is the time of year NH is supposed to have snow! Right? Of course right!
>My sister being here for a week to help with my Mom
>My 97 year old friend who invited me to have Christmas dinner with her at her nursing home because she wanted her "best friend" to be there! Wow! I was so touched and honored. (That would be Julia Sweet who invited me)
>Mr. Page's safe and speedy graduation to heaven late yesterday afternoon! Wow, what a Christmas he will have!
>Insights from things I don't like that point up character flaws for me to take to God to "fix" Some examples: Drivers who tailgate me! (oops, guess what? I too am guilty of that!) Waiting for dial up's abysmally slowness on the internet! (oops, guess what? I am an impatient person!) Yikes. Interesting that the character quality Kayla and I are studying this month is "patience." Pray that I'll get more.
>Three sons so that when one of them disappears, I still get to see the other 2 occasionally!
>A chance to make lots of desserts for many people who have said they're coming to our outreach dessert banquet tommorrow night.
And that's it for now.

Glad to hear that about Mr Page. I was very concerned he would "linger". He must be so happy right now...

Loved reading your list...and thanks for helping make the day special for one 97 year old lady, who does consider you her "best friend". She appreciates all you do for her...so do I.

Hey! I'm not sure I like being so easily replaced by my brothers!
