Where's the Snow?

Okay where's the snow? There's none at home in NH and today I came all the way down here to GA for Ethan's wedding and there's none here either!! No fair. There's supposed to be snow in December and especially for Christmas. . .

Had a marvelously smooth flight which was good since I worked on finishing making my Christmas cards and writing them out from the time I reached the airport in Boston until just before landing in Atlanta. A bumpy flight would have made that rather difficult. It also helped that I was lucky enough to have no one in the seat next to me so I could place all my extra cards and stamping paraphenalia there for easy access. I was soooo grateful for this time slot to complete my Christmas card marathon and actually dump them in the mail box at the McDonough post office! Mission accomplished--nearly. Still have some cardstock and ribbons to trim and a few more cards to write, but not too, too many.

Megan and I flew on the same flight which was great because I helped her and she helped me! I saved her from having TSA throw away all her make up by offering to put it into my clear zip lock bag with mine! And she ran back down to security to find a small ruby necklace that I'd left in my security check bin. It was precious to me, not because of it's great ruby value (!) but because Neil gave it to me for our anniversary and Megan had just spent 30 minutes detangling the chain on it because I put it through the wash at home!! Sooo, she found my necklace and I saved her makeup and we flew happily ever after! And then we found that Isaac Demme was on the same flight as we were! He switched flights and went on to Athens for the big shingdig tomorrow.

Since arriving, I've laughed myself silly with old Susie Q-sie because I'm so tired, and I've also had a great time with Dave and Pat. Oh and I also shopped the length of the Tangier Outlet mall and bought 2 measly things and gave myself very sore feet! The sore feet really were because when I de-planed I decided to walk to baggage claim instead of taking the train. Hadn't had time to take my walk this morning before leaving at 5:15 so I figured it was a good idea! Except that I didn't realize how far it was. I think I walked from clear down at the end all the way back to the main terminal--definitely far enough to count for a good, hefty bit of exercise!

Happy Sabbath!
