Life at the Condo and I Miss our Kids!!

So what do we do at the condo??

We didn't bring hardly any food with us so we headed out around noon the first day to find a restaurant that serves breakfast all day. Everybody and his brother and his sister and cousins and uncles and aunts was also out on Friday trying to snatch up all the after Christmas bargains. The traffic was horrendous, but we did finally find a restaurant and got some breakfast.

Later we had to go shopping for a few groceries so there would be food to eat at the condo. In addition to shopping, I've read, slept, watched a little TV, surfed the internet for shopping and stamping ideas, written Christmas thank yous, made some cards, played Yahtzee, put a 500 piece puzzle together, taken a couple of walks on the beach (one in the snow today!), watched Andy Griffith with Neil and laughed my head off, and played a Disney Trivia game with Neil. Oh my word, if you could have seen us, we would have provided your evening entertainment. Reminds me of when my sister Paulette and I would pour over the funnies in the newspaper, trying to figure them out and Elwin would just sit there and split his sides laughing at us. Needless to say, we do not know a whole lot about every Disney Movie there is, and it was hilarious! But even though we're having a great time doing "quiet" things, I still miss our kids!

I miss Kendra and her efficient, business-like ways and her announcements of how many carbs every single food contains.

I miss Chad and his obvious delight at home cooked food and extra goodies and even (a little bit) his efforts to bring Clyde up and be his Dad instead of his brother!

I miss Craig--no deafening piano playing and singing at the top of his lungs--just presents under the tree that he ordered on-line and then last minute presents that he purchased for each family member in the Old City and spent $25 to mail to us. . .

I miss Clyde and his neck rubs, his ready laugh, preoccupation with basketball coaching and the creak of his floor as he gets up in the morning

I miss Kayla--her violin practicing, her willingness to lend a helping hand anytime, her sharing her thoughts with me and being my friend.

I just love the kids God has given us and am so very, very thankful that we have each and every one of them.

    I love your kids, too!

(and you and Uncle Neil, as well)

Would I have liked to be a fly on the wall for Disney Trivia, Neil and Elaine style! Hahaha! I can only imagine.

"Bambi...wasn't he the little wooden puppet whose glass slipper grew longer when he rubbed the magic lamp?"

Hey! I did get Bambi right! Or at least I think I did. I tried Gepetto (sp?) on a couple and also Pinnochio, but guessed them on the wrong ones. . .Sigh. I think I missed Aladdin too! Oh well, at least I remember my name--so far!
